Just released today we have added a new pricing option to our online backup system which we are referring to as "Unmanaged" that offers a significant discount in monthly rates. Managed backups is how we originally setup our system where all setup fees and additional services related to POB were included, the new unmanaged option does not include any setup time or support just the backup service/space itself; the idea with unmanaged is the end user sets up and maintains the backups.
Pricing example for a 5 GB Plan with the new model: Managed $35/month Unmanaged $20/month
For example: You are having difficulty either setting up your backup schedule and/or what to backup or perhaps having difficulty doing a restore and need to contact Polarverse for assistance. If you are on the managed backup plan there is no additional charge for helping you get this task completed. However if you are on the unmanaged backup plan you would be billed regular hourly service rates for the additional support.
For more information visit our solutions page: http://www.polarverse.com/pob/
Note: If you have a weekly corporate service plan with Polarverse and currently use POB you will be getting the unmanaged rate starting on Nov. 1st.
